»Aus der Welt fallen« versammelt fünf künstlerische Positionen, deren Praxis im Digitalen beginnt. Gezeigt werden Arbeiten aus der Welt des Gaming.

Ausgehend von Computerspielen wie »Gothic«, »Fallout 4« oder »Dark Souls« widmen sich die ausgewählten Werke der Vermittlung zwischen digitalen und analogen Oberflächen, Repräsentation und Identifikation mithilfe von Kreaturen, Avataren und -natürlich- Glitches.

Mit Animation, Fotografie, Malerei und Skulptur nähern sich die Darstellungen den Begrenzungen realer sowie programmierter Räume, ihren jeweiligen Konventionen und eröffnet einen Blick auf das, was hinter diesen Welten liegt.

»Aus der Welt fallen« brings together five artistic positions whose practice begins in the digital realm. On display are works from the world of gaming.

Based on computer games such as »Gothic«, »Fallout 4«, and »Dark Souls«, the selected works focus on the mediation between digital and analog surfaces, representation, and identification with the help of creatures, avatars, and -of course- glitches.

Through animation, photography, painting, and sculpture, the representations approach the limitations of real and programmed spaces and their respective conventions, opening up a view of what lies behind these worlds.
